Letters from Henry William Finck III
"What Makes a Company Successful?"

Obviously, there are a lot of factors, but loyal, reliable, conscientious employees are certainly essential to our success. Olivia Chapa, our production supervisor, is one of the best. At the age of 16 she came to work for my father. Starting in the packaging department, her work ethic and conscientious nature allowed her to quickly move into a supervisory position. Today, with over 35 years of experience, she is an integral part of our day to day operations, tackling a myriad of responsibilities – from training new employees to quality control – and she handles them all with expertise. Olivia has made a direct impact on the success of Finck Cigar Company as well as the quality of the cigars you smoke. The next time you light a Travis Club, remember the care and experience that went into making such a great cigar – especially from wonderful employees like Olivia.

"We're Fortunate to Have Emilio"

Have you ever noticed the term “made under Cuban supervision” on some of our cigars? While there are a number of Cuban people working in our factory, Emilio Romero has been the heart and soul of our factory for 34 years. Growing up in Havana, Cuba, he started working in his uncle’s cigar factory when he was 8 years old. He came to the U.S. in 1944 and worked in a variety of factories until he came to us in 1966. Emilio knows more about cigars and cigar factories than nearly anyone else in the industry. He oversees everything production related – from scheduling to machine maintenance to quality control. He is as responsible for the quality of our cigars as my Dad and I are. We’re fortunate to have Emilio as our employee and friend, and trust you too appreciate his experience and care that goes into every cigar we make.
