A Word From Bill Jr.

I’m Mad As Hell and I’m not going to take it anymore - at least not quietly. The federal government continues to put incredible pressure on our small business. Shipping restrictions, cumbersome paperwork & reports, looming FDA regulation that threatens – among other things – the ability to sell cigars by mail. And what about this completely unbalanced taxation? Cigar lovers have felt the pain of government reaching into our wallets for years. It’s easy for Congress to justify, because tobacco is bad. But worse than alcohol? When compared to the “sin” tax, on beer & wine, you have to wonder what’s up? A beer or a glass of wine is taxed 5¢! Double the tax to 10¢ and they’d raise an additional 3 billion dollars! Add a few penny’s to wine and distilled spirits, and the revenue skyrockets. So why is tobacco so unfairly burdened with massive taxes? Might be a good question for a candidate seeking election this year! If these guys are really pro-jobs, they need to back off our industry and let us keep what few tobacco-related jobs there are left in the U.S. here!
